The place is rocking . . . literally

There have been several minor earthquakes in the last couple weeks. No damage, but it's an interesting sensation. I was kind of surprised by how long it feels like they last. I'm still too ignorant and inexperienced to actually by scared by them yet -- teachers have told stories about kids and adults hiding under the tables while the stupid foreigner says "Cool" and goes to the window to watch. Lee Anne was telling her kids it was over and they could come out, and they silently shook their heads and stayed put, and sure enough, aftershocks followed. Those little ones are well-trained, and fear is a good teacher. So far each time I've been at home -- kind of disappointing.
