Afternoon Hanami parties and strolling along the blossoms and lanterns. Nighttime Hanami is a slightly different scene . . .

Wow, is that ever beautiful. You're so blessed to be able to experience such a wonderful environment, Shannon!

Thanks, Crystal! It only lasts for about 2 weeks, so I tried to see as much of it as I could. There are so many different blooming seasons, but the Japanese are crazy about cherry blossoms. Some students told me it is symbolic of transistions (April is the new school year) and the brevity of life.

Absolutely beautiful Shan. It must be amazing to experience that.

Absolutely beautiful. we have at least one tree with the same white blossems in our yard, though it only blooms in summer.
I bought carrot, peas, and annual seeds today to take to camp! :)
