silent night

Work was busy today. I was looking after patients in the ICUs today. I always find that it reminds me that the people on the news are real people ... real people, sometimes with a long stretch ahead of them. Those are the stories you never really hear.

It was also snowing heavily today. Many inches of snow have come already - a few more overnight.

I locked my keys in my car after work. I'm not sure how, because Eleanor is supposed to have some sort of protection against such an event ... I was sure the doors are not supposed to lock when the keys are in the ignition until she goes into drive. Ah well, a nice lady actually let me into her house to call CAA. There are nice strangers in the world. An hour and five minutes later they showed up. I didn't really start to get cold until about 40 minutes into the wait. At least the inside was warm.

So then, after missing my belly-dancing class that I was going to skip anyways, I made my way home and had a nice long bath while listening to Christmas carols in the background.

A beautiful silent night with the snow softly falling.

I locked my keys in the car WHILE IT WAS RUNNING a week or so ago. I felt like the bieggest idiot for doing that.
