Yesterday and today

Yesterday at work I was asked to work an extra two days in a few weeks ... meaning I would 'get' to work 12 days straight. I declined, or rather offered alternatives. If I were not to work, it would mean 3 folk working, 1 for an 11 hour shift and the other two for the normal 8 hour shift. It would also mean I'd work 12 days straight without days off. Today I was informed none of my alternatives would work. We negotiated that I'd work one of the two days.
On the way home (a drive of about 3 minutes) I almost was rear-ended twice. At the same intersection. I saw them fishtailing in my rear view mirror. I inched forward to avoid impending collison. Then I drove to an alternate way home.
Today I walked to work. It was crazy blowing snow, which in turn means snow drifts and added icy sections. Walking is great. I think I'll walk to work the rest of the week. However, I think I overdressed today. It's supposed to be 10 degrees colder tomorrow, so it may just all balance out in the end.
The job decision is still all up in the air. I pretty much have two offers and I expect a third option to appear shortly. What I thought would exist in a fourth location has turned out not to be an option. Only about 5 more months. I'm trying not to complain about (vent, discuss, agonize over, etc) the whole job thing on the blog, so I'll leave it at that.

Jenn, you are always welcome to vent on your blog. That's what blogs are for, after all!

Stay warm.
